This is an exercise. In what, I'm not exactly certain...maybe futility. But it's an exercise nonetheless. A place to stretch the mental legs, practice discipline, and maybe learn a little something in the process. I've wanted to start regularly writing a blog of some sort for a while now (what's the point of keeping a diary if no one's around to read it, right?) and this affords me not only an excuse to do so, but to stretch and tone my writing muscles daily. Yeah, I said daily. I'm going to write something in here every day and you can hold me to that. Whether it's original song lyrics, a short story, poetry, random ideas, personal thoughts, or recollections of the mundane (yet somehow beautiful) events of the day, I'll be keeping my collected works here in digital format and on public display. Probably not the best idea I've ever had, but it's probably not the worst either (there are many other major contenders for that prestigious distinction).
And this doesn't count as today's blog. No, it does not, you lazy boy. This is only a test to get things rolling...and roll they shall. Downhill. Over a small village. Oh, the humanity.
